Bamboo fabric! A lovely light sage shade called Leaf, made in China of 100% bamboo, from Robert Kaufman's greenSTYLE collection. It has a gorgeous silky, drapey texture. I think it would combine beautifully with silk batting for a natural fiber lightweight summer quilt. Also from the greenSTYLE collection is Panda Cord, a pinwale corduroy that's 55% cotton and 45% bamboo, in a dark brown shade called Bark. It's everything you think corduroy is not - flexible, silky, drapeable.
Also new: an Arden linen in a beautiful natural shade, a 100% cotton white Jacquard, and a traditional cotton chambray that would be great in a quilt for a baby boy.

You know what IS happening in June? Starting tomorrow, June 2, Johnson is hosting a Farmer's Market. It will be happening from 3:30-6:30pm in the lot by Roo's Natural Foods, as well as in front of some of the Main St. shops (like this one.)
Johnson is already regionally famous for Tuesday Night Live, which brings music to town during the summer. The addition of a "fresh from the farm" shopping option means that Johnson is THE place to be on Tuesdays.
The Quilted Lily is so excited that we're doing a 'lil something. If the weather allows, I'm going to move out for a sidewalk celebration. Even if we can't be outside, I'll be putting something different on sale every Tuesday. The sale of the day will be announced at 10:00 when we open and be in effect till 5:00.
This is such a busy time of year. Maybe you'd like something useful, made with TQL fabrics, but haven't the time to sew? Perhaps I can help! I've been getting ready for the market. Plenty of organically grown muslin produce bags and a variety of totes are now available. Top quality products deserve the best! Whether it's lettuce in the fridge or potatoes in the pantry, everything lasts longer, without going slimy, if you store it in a fabric bag.
